Why we are backing Dawn AI

Nigeria's education system continues to face significant challenges in supporting children with learning disabilities and neurodevelopmental conditions, with many learners identified late or receiving limited access to the specialized support they need due to inadequate teacher capacity, limited diagnostic services, and insufficient inclusive learning resources. We are supporting Dawn AI Study because we believe technology can play a transformative role in making inclusive education more accessible and effective. Through its AI-powered approach to early identification, personalized learning, and caregiver engagement, the company is addressing a critical gap in how neurodivergent learners are supported. Through the Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship, we will support the team in validating its solution across diverse learning environments, strengthening partnerships with schools and special education stakeholders, generating evidence of its impact on inclusive learning outcomes, and building the institutional capacity needed to expand access to quality education for children with diverse learning needs in Nigeria
