Content Aggregation Lead – Qataloog

The Role:

As our Content Aggregation Lead, you will spearhead the curation and upload of diverse educational content, building a rich and engaging resource library for our users. You will partner with publishers, independent authors, and institutions to acquire high-quality books, videos, and audiobooks, ensuring our platform offers a comprehensive and relevant learning experience for all. Your tech-savvy approach and keen eye for quality will be instrumental in building a world-class content database that fuels our mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Content Acquisition and Curation:
    • Develop and implement strategies to source and aggregate educational content across various formats (books, videos, audiobooks).
    • Build and manage relationships with publishers, independent authors, and educational institutions to secure content partnerships.
    • Evaluate and select content based on educational value, alignment with Qataloog’s mission, and user needs.
    • Categorize and tag content accurately to facilitate user discovery and personalized learning journeys.
  • Content Upload and Management:
    • Manage the technical aspects of content upload, including metadata creation, file format conversion, and integration with Qataloog’s platform.
    • Ensure uploaded content adheres to quality standards and accessibility guidelines.
    • Maintain accurate records and track content licenses and permissions.
  • Technology and Data Management:
    • Utilize content management systems and other relevant tools to efficiently manage the content pipeline.
    • Analyze user data and content performance to identify trends and inform content acquisition strategies.
    • Collaborate with the tech team to troubleshoot any technical issues related to content upload and delivery.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders, including publishers, authors, institutions, and internal teams.
    • Negotiate licensing agreements and resolve any content-related issues.
    • Stay updated on trends and developments in the educational content and technology landscape.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, library science, communication, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in education content acquisition, curation, or management.
  • Strong understanding of copyright and intellectual property laws.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in content management systems and relevant technology tools.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders and building strong relationships.
  • Outstanding communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for education and technology’s potential to transform learning.
  • Strong tech support experience for troubleshooting and integration of content.
